Everyone has told me they're bomb proof. Obviously not when I get hold of them :grin: . It's depressing to think that I bought mine and Ade's together and ended up giving myself the broken one :nugget:Pete have you seen this.......R1 engine e-bay link The seller reckons these engines are bomb proof!!!!!!!! :fear: :fear:
You should send him your pics of your engine????
Chris at z-cars phoned and said he'll try to find me a cheap engine and then have mine back for spares. Hopefully back on the road soon.

Only about 90 but still accelerating. Luckily I heard it going crunch and managed to pull over and push down the clutch before it seized.real shame mate, hw fast were you going wen it went bang

No front engined R1 for me, don't forget I have joined the dark side now, engine in the back of the mini and not as god intended!Good to see some pics there David, its nice to see the master at work!

Apparently there is a Bike show/ autojumble at Donington Park this sunday. Might be worth a look.

Thought about hyabusa but it would mean changing some of the frame and adding an oil cooler. If you were willing to part with one cheap then I could be tempted.

The hyabusa would also need dry sumping really.....
