Spent all day rebuilding the engine. Bottom end seems ok and I now have oil pressure(although my gauge sender unit has decided to pack up so I don't know how much pressure). Have taken it up and down the road and the engine sounds fine and still goes like stink
Whilst I had it in bits took the opportunity to fit a new throttle return spring and stronger clutch return spring.

Next job is to sort out the cracked wheel arch and then get it ready for a respray. Gives me the chance to change colour

is it fairly easy to work on a bike engine then? as it wasnt too long a wait for you to fix it? and an oil pump is a fairly integral part.

love the pics of both the mini's on the trailer, each worthy of their own magazine front cover, amazing sight

Did you get the mini weighed Pete?

Yes I did Dale. Came in at 606kilos. Best bit was that it has a 50/50 split front to rear and with myself driving it is 50/50 left to right as well.
Only slightly heavier than the plastic dinky toy. When you add the drivers then mine comes in 20 kilos lighter :fear:  :fear:

Plastic dinky toy, lol. Did Ade have the all over body shave before the weigh in or not??

Good news about the weight distribution, should handle pretty well with the longer wheelbase too.

What colour are you thinking of now??

As you all probably know the engine went bang on the way back from Bingley Hall. Started taking it apart and found this.(not a good pic but you'll get the idea).

Then decided to take a bit more apart. Wasn't it supposed to be 5 valves per cylinder
