When I started the engine yesterday, the temperature quickly rose to 120. Didn't take any notice. Started it today and temperature started going up quickly again. Engine sounded a bit noisy so I checked the oil level. The sight glass was full with the engine running.
It appears that I have no oil pressure or water flowing through the engine. I have taken the sump off of the engine and it appears that the chain is still connected and turns when the engine turns over.Any of you other R1 guys any ideas.

And where are you checking the water temp?

Also been told that the big ends may now be damaged due to oil starvation so got to strip one of them to check that as well.
Good news is that I have managed to obtain a car transporter to get both cars up to z-cars on Monday . Bad news is that mine can't be test driven to check it  At least Chris won't thrash it like he will Ade's :cheese:

Chris has said he will check out big end bearings on Monday. Just hoping no more damage. Already got to get a new oil/water pump and pully.
This could well be due to my previous oil loss problems but don't suppose I will ever know.

At least I will know how to fix yours :cheese:
