I looked at them, but then the propshaft is then housed in a MASSIVE tubey-thingy, which has to be an exact length. Plus, they dont tend to pop up very cheaply

Well, I've got a small update for this - still no progress with getting it moved to my container (dammit!) But I may have the engine + gearbox + rear end + front suspension - in the shape of a whole Jag XJS V12!!.

Will be finding out over the weekend if it's still available, then it's just a case of going down to pick it up

Haha and theres a reason the front of the bonnet photo has been cut off.. they sprayed a word on there that rhymes with hunt

hehe - and Martin, seriously, DON'T tempt me!! My neighbors are already whinging about me having 2 cars, let alone 3!! Plans for the Jag would be to grab whatever I need/want, then either flog it on, or weigh it in - preferably on the same weekend that I'd collect it!



Ah well, might as well give a lil update on the ideas front whilst I'm here now, lol



Rear suspension will still be mini-based, as will the front suspension - but due to the extra weight up-front, I'll be attempting to mount TWO towers side-by-side, joining the upper-arms (somehow) to get the extra weight capacity, but obviously, using just the one lower arm. Hubs will still be mini items, but calipers will hopefully be metro 4-pots with vented discs. Hoping to have the entire chassis + suspension in silver, so you can pick it out easier, and shows it off better

also decided, that the fuel tank WILL go in the extended bulkhead - possibly one either side of the gearbox, which also means that I'll still be able to have "twin filler caps"..... even though they'll actually be in FRONT of me, rather than at the back of the car!

woow you have some big khones tacking on a project like this im only 17 and what your doing is only a dream for me for now, but im doing an apprenticeship in mechanics been doing it for bout 4 yrs now (did it at school too)

i can only say good luck to you sir !!!
im looking forward to the finished project and then maybe mine will start properely haha
