Been looking forward to that update like you wouldn't believe! The tension...!

So, Ade, the question I'm sure we all want answering is "What's it like to drive now?". Is it still as nervous off the power? And, does it feel quick, I mean really quick? :gimme:

Now much more capable off power takes the bumps with no real hassles at all!!

I can assure you that it is really really quick!! I'd thought it was quick before Chris took me out then (i guess because he's so much more used to the driving style) he really opened it up and :gimme: words can't quite express the feeling!!

Brilliant! I'm not expecting mine to be anywhere near as quick as yours due to the HUGE mass of all the steel I'll have to drag around (not to mention the larger frontal area), but I need to hear things like that to keep me going!

Incidentally, I noticed you've got grey tinted polycarbonate windows in the rear, but what appear to be non-tinted in the doors. Is this a legal requirement? I was just about to order mine and didn't want to make an expensive mistake.

Good luck with the MOT

Cheers!

Been doing some research, and found out that tinted glass (for pre '78 cars) has to allow 70% or more light transmission. All I need to do now is find out whether the supplier I have lined up has got any data to this effect.

Is Pete willing to take the gamble then? :fear:

the front side windows an any car must allow 70% light through so you are alowed 30% tint, this is the tint on most cars as standard. the front windscreen can not be tinted at all and the rest can be solid black if you want.

shes looking great ade, i want to do a bike engined mini in a few years when ive got the funds and insurance isnt going to cost more that a house.

howd the mot go?

after a certain date they have to allow 75% of light through (the front and front side windows do anyway).
