Awesome car by the way, well done.

Thanks :D I'm happier everyday with it! Can't go wrong with a bit of friendly banter....... Eh Jammy?? :xxx:

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! ;)

Whenever your ready Jammy

Ade,

Cheers
David

Hi David, To be honest I'd never checked it after we first fitted it. I can only imagine as eveything has found it's happy settled point as the cars been driven harder it moved a touch. If I had to guess I'd say the sproket on the engine was around 3mm over. I should've picked up on it sooner really as every now and again there was a little chain slap noise. I always assumed it needed tensioning again but now realised it was trying to ride over and off the sprocket and slapping the piece above it. ;) But you live and learn i guess. ;) All sorted now

I was simply pointing out how quick people are to say how expensive Z-cars are when actually in the grand scheme of things they're not that bad.

Thats exactly what ive been trying to get throught to Claire! and my mum, sister, brother, mates.........

They just dont understand!

Ditto.
My GF and Mum think I'm just haemoraging money, but if I went out and bought an new M3 or something similar that'd loose half it's value as soon as it left the forecourt, they'd all say "oh 'm glad you've bought a nice sensible car 'sporty' car!"

Girls are stupid...

...and are also poo bums!

:D

Plus, I always think of it in terms of "what other car can I buy for the same money that'll give me the same performance and fun?"

I don't think there's anything that comes close. Maybe an Ariel Atom, but they're £25K +

Go figure!!

Well after "just bleeding the clutch" turned into changing every component and then adjusting until the cows came home!! I finally have a consistant reliable clutch.. unfortuantley the same definatley cannot be said for the brakes!!!! The sooner the latest purchase arrives the better!

On the way home from Pete's had an amusing play with and 2005 impreza sti...... over many roundabouts....... felt sooooo good through the corners........... definate gaining on the straights.......... But let down braking into the roundabouts!! Just no confidence in the first pedal!! Shame really could've really pasted him otherwise ;) lol

Then heading home as all the classics were leaving Silverstone saw countless ferraris only 2 F40s and an Enzo though..... :D

And because a day wouldn't be complete without some minor drama got home pulled up onto the drive got out and opened the garage got back in to put it away anad there was no power anywhere at all!!!!

After minor investigation turns out the kill switch is playing up..... a few switches on and off and it was back in business......

Can anyone remember who on here makes them? Might need to see if they'll swap it out?

Have to say the car is a lot more responsive and feels much quicker since being setup. Had to give it a test drive after fixing it and was very impressed. Much smoother up the rev range as well.
Brakes definately need sorting(nearly rear ended a p1 impreza trying to get him to give us a race :) ) but this will be cured with Ade's latest purchase. He'll just have to wait for me to have a day off to fit it though.

Pickup is now missing more parts :- . At this rate there won't be much left of it

As I pointed out to Dolts though the price he was looking at wasn't quite right :- lol

Should be well worth it though! :) Have been looking at track days. I'm honestly amazed at some of the noise restrictions!!!! Some tracks have a 98dB limit!!! I mean jesus! What sort of nanny state are we living in where a frickin race circuit can't have noisy cars on it!!!!!!! ;)

The highest i found was a 105db limit?? Have sound meter and will be finding out how they test (what rpm distance etc) to see if it's worth me booking and turning up to any ^_^

Well, you could always try Wroughton airfield above us, where they regularly have speed days for all kinds of vehicles without any noise restrictions at all, judging by the interesting howls and screeches drifting over the village from time to time :)
