Wow, I have to say if someone gave me the chance to choose between your car and a porche, there wouldn't even be a decision (Obviously the Minus). You have done a great job with it, I keep thinking about the ammount of looks someone would get driving this around my area (gob smacked).

Recently bought Mini Magazine and have read the article on both the cars approximately 12 times, im like a little kid, I get excited before turning the page to where the beasts are placed. :D

Everything about the car is exceptional including the colour. :-

Congrats on finishing him...

Cheers

Dan

Thanks Dan

Funny you should mention the Porsche comparison. I went to a friends bbq on saturday. One of his other friends who was there turns up in his Porsche Carerra 4S. Got talking about cars and he was interested in the mini so took him for a quick run.

When he got back he was suprised to say the least :D Another guy asked him if it was quick...... he said F***ing unbelievable :w00t: He went on to say he used to think his Porsche was quick!!! lol made me chuckle

Well after a long stint of not much happening suddenly there's some progress.

Firstly the bad weather was seriously hampering my mini playtime. Then the weather picked up and my ecu decided to give up the ghost on me!! :'(

So now that's sorted (many thanks to the donor pickup :( ) It was finally time to fit the new front subframe. At last all the parts were available and we set about the job of fitting the beast!

Approximatley an hour and a half after starting!!! :o

Had a quick run up the road tonight to check all the brakes and clutch were working properly. Instantly feel so much smoother ride!! Not as harsh by a long way. Didn't give it much beans as it was raining and it's not set up yet that's coming soon but definatley much different!! :dontgetit: ;D :sneaky:

looks great BUT i thought all the new subbys from Z cars were like this and i am sure that Dean Chads is different????

This is the one i saw at Bingley many moons ago, not the same as a few of the other Z cars ones i have seen

Isnt this the one that is also compatible with an A series engine?

Am i seeing things?

Not having a go just perplexed.

Chris changes the design as it evolves, I think what he is trying to do is produce one frame with only minor mods for each situation, ie front of bike engined car, fwd A series etc so he doesn't need to have several jigs just for the front of a mini

what i dont get about Z cars is that if you buy it with your kit its half the price and if you change your mind later on its a diff price ! why.....

£500 if you buy it with your kit,

950 est" if you buy it after ,,,,

bit unfair i say,
to be honest though i prefer having that weight at the front, lol but i shall see when mines finished.

When you buy the frame seperate you get new shocks etc and everything to fit it, whereas if you buy it as part of the main frame kit you dont need to have top arm brackets, shock absorber mounts, throttle pedal assembly, crash bar frame etc........ plus the new frame shocks are different and smaller and so probably cheaper aswell. I have already asked this queastion directly to chris and this is how it was explained to me.

OFF TOPIC: Spoonz, did you get the air filter sorted and sort out the sensors etc??

Cheers

Are you going back to chris to set it up or have you got the settings already??? ;)

Cheers

Ps isnt it "sit there and look smug and make the tea" whilst everyone else does the work???
Nothing ever changes then???? :(
