Ade ,i just noticed you have Nacca ducks in the rear side windows, i don't know if you have done any work on air flow ,but in my test there was almost no air to be had down the side even with 7" scoops sticking out when i tried to collect air for my rear radiator. it made no difference from when i added them and them not being in at all.
the air is foerced out by the screen and the faster you go the further out it is pushed, even with your deseamed minus shell the functunality of the ducts is negligable at even moderate speeds

now i'm not trying to nit pic , its a superb job no doubt, but if your serious about getting air to the engine you need to look elswhere.,

great car ,

regards carl

Hi Carl to be honest I didn't do any tests with regards to airflow. I put the ducts in because i wanted to at least make an effort to get some more air in there.

I did contimplate puttting a raised duct in the roof to draw air in but didn't like the fact of losing what little visibility out the back that i have :ermm:

To be honest I'm happy with the performance so not really going to start going to wind tunnels to get better air flow lol just wanted to at least make some sort of schoolboy effort :genius: :w00t:

well done again

ps, even if the air vents do sod all, they look wicked!!

wouldnt the naca ducts on ades mini be sucking the air into them rather than scooping it in?

also what did your test involve carl? all i can think is someone in the back with there arm out the window testing how much windage you have!!! just popped into my head wouldnt mind knowing how you did it?

I think Carl is right, you will just be getting a venturi effect so air will be sucked out, not going in!!

The engine will be sucking air in, of course, but what you are effectively doing is creating a low pressure zone, when in fact you need the opposite, a high pressure zone. Read a good book on ram air charging and you will understand why....

Well I confess to not know enough about it to comment with any great intelligence. :ermm:

So I'll just put them down to looking nice and leave it at that unless I have a nice cross wind thats giving them a useful effect? LOL

I think or should I say I hope there is higher pressure area in front of the rear wheel spat, so a Scoop that sticks out the same width as the wheel should pull in air better, but it means you have to cut the body infront of the rear wheel.....

I'm hoping to incorperate that kind of scoop on both sides of my body with out it looking to silly that is....One side to cool the Oil cooler the other for the Induction....
