did you have the head bolted down and turning the cam round? should then feel if it hits

also getting a dial test indicator putting it on the face of the head then with cams in the bolted position you should be able to find how much above the head face the valve sits on full lift, add about 1.mm or so to give good clearence in the even of valve bounce/centrifugal lift or such event

once valve recesses ar cut put blutack on the cut out, bolt head in place turn cam round so it will squish said 'tack when the heads pulled off should give a pretty good indication as to the room clearence (probably already knew about the last bit but doesnt help to reitterate it)

wel i am amazed!!! the stuff i ordered from minispares was sent on mondya of this week and i got them on wednesday!!!!!!!!

i dont believe how fast it got here. Simon you are a leg end!!

unfortunately with the arrival of the tank from Jammy and this minispares order i will now have to get on with some work.

cooper s disks to fit, new rubbers on all doors and windows which also means having to do the headlining!!! and fit the right hand tank.

not much really lol!!!

i also got some plus 80 pistons with the order so i can now get the lock rebored and then try and fit the k head to it!!!

Glad to hear the tank arrived safely (and the Haynes manual I'm guessing?).

Simon, if you can get an order to the far side of America in 2-3 days, I want all my stuff same day!! :sneaky:
