plans might be changing to a 1275 block as 998 may be a bit involved and with the language barrier i may not get what i want actually done!!

well after a good days thinking i am going to press on with the 998 engine. for the cost of buying a 1275 block and crank(and teh postage) i can offset that against the possible extras of using the 998 engine which i already have. i now have a 1275 and a 998 head gasket sio can work out if i need to offset bore(hopefully not) and how big i need to go. hopefully only to +80 or i will have to get pistons from australia.
I might even get some pics up later on.

well i have tried the head on again with the cams bolted down and it looks like i will have to pocket the block for the exhaust valves but only on 2 cylinders i think.
i am guessing that i will have to do it on all 4 though to make it even on each cylinder?
should be getting my throttle bodies, injectors and wiring harness through by the end of the week. another ebay bargain!!
as the cam will only be turning the oil pump do i really need to change the cam bearings or will they be ok?
