update: primered rear end of car,. then covered it in spray on rubberised undercoat stone chip type stuff then painted it red. Also did the front lower bulkhead. and a money shot or 2 of the wheels and tyres that i had done today.

Need to do a bit more welding oat teh front end where the front subby mounts join the front valance and then i can:

put the steering rack on and fuel and brake and battery lines and then put front and rear subbys on and get it back on 4 wheels.

really no time left to get this car done!!

AND YES it is red not orange. it is rustoleum Safety Red.

more work done. cleaned up the last of the old underseal stone chip stuff. wiped it down and sprayed on some primer and also the new rubbersied underseal stuff.

Cut out more rust so i need to patch them, and the i can hopefully finish the underneath and get it back on four wheels.

Also refitted the steering rack.

to do........LOTS.

Next few things ware to do some more welding and then try and get the subframes back on.

Lazy update with pics doing alot of the talking.

Finally finished the underside welding and have started to cover it with rubberised stone chip stuff and red Rustoleum SAFETY RED paint

Also fixed the front lower arch and A panel. i think i am getting quite good at this metal work hacking and bashing.(welding still needs some work though)

Once the rubberised undercoat goes off i will paint it and then i can fit teh brake and battery lines and then flip the car onto the other side and sort the fuel lines. THEN the rear subby goes on, and maybe evern the front subby.

And so to the pics:

Flipped the car onto the other side yesterday. started running the fuel lines. i need to have a way of securing both lines down so i think i will weld on some more metal tabs today rather than using P-clips or the like as i dont think the covers will go on with anything more than the folded tabs method.

Pics later

Not much chance to do much as i have had to work this week!!(who'd have thunk it!!)

Anyway here are a few pics of my progress, welded 3 extra tabs on to hold the extra fuel line and then put the cover back on. Just need to do a couple of small patches on the rear inner wheel well and i can then put the rear subby back on. THEN i can get the front on and have it rolling and finish all the other welding around the car that i can do while it is on wheels.

Got a few days off coming up so hopefully i can get the front subby on and have it rolling. Might even get the brakes bled and working.
