Being doing more welding today and i am starting to get bored. i havent even started the drivers side sill which is in worse condition than the one i just did. I have been patching the arse end today, rear set and the like. pics to follow

Well with the engine nearly done and the bodywork no where near done i did a bit more on the body this afternoon. Quite pleased with how it came out. still have some tweaking to do but the cormer pieces look ok and after a bit dressing of the welds and a skim of filler it should look ok i reckon.

couple of days off so hoping to crack on with fitting the rear valance and generally getting the back end finished. Then it will be onto the drivers side inner sill. then a few more spots around the car that need a patch or two and the welding will be done.
hmmmm makes it sound very easy.....

Flipped the mini back up onto its side and finished welding the new wheel well in form underneath. also fitted the rear valance and cleaned uo the welds. Not the prettiest of welds but it is solid and most of it will be hidden by seam sealer and under coat.
Oh and i love my spot welder. makes things soooooo easy!!
Still have to finish the lower corner piece of the wheel arch as it was bad but i have rebuilt most of it and will weld in the final piece tomorrow probably.

Just run out of welding wire again!! off to the shop in a bit to get some more. no pics as the bit i am doing is horrible. its threar seat base where it joins the bulhead. was rotten as hell inside and out. did the poutside a while ago, am now doing the inside. Once its done i will flick the car back on it side, tidy up and clean the rear end and get some seam selaer on all the welds.
Hopefully i can get the nack end of teh car finished today. Then I might even put the subframes abckl on and do the inner sill when it is on four wheels!!!
