ok so i have had a good look over the car and there have been a few changes made to it over the years. brakes have been changed from possibly a diagonal split to the standard front rear system. there is extra wiring for various things via solenoids.
I also have a reprinted Mini workshop manual with added Austrailian supplement!! Very good indeed.
the list of things required to make it more roadworthy are:
Give it a full service! although the oil was only changed a few weeks ago.
new windscreen rubbers all round.
propably loads more that i now cant think of lol.

oh yeah and i am loving it canminifan.
oh i need to fit the megajolt aswell!!
another twist i have foiund is the rear bench seat is bolted down with 2 fly nuts at either side.
Also the car has plates covering up the brake and fuel and battery lines.
also the rear pockets are fully trimmed and each side has a nice ash tray like the one in the dash!!

when i got the car the windscreen washer bottle was not fitted although it came with the car. so i hecked the pump on it and it was goosed.
So i went to the local Autozone(but like Halfords but better) and asked if they had something similar to the pump.(showed them it)
The lady behind the counter dissapeared for a bit and cam back with 2 possibles, the one with the thread on fitted perfectly and the nut from the old pump fitted aswell....result.
so today i fitted it all along with some new rubber hose and it now works a treat. well chuffed!!

I have also been sorting the wiring loom for the Megajolt today aswell.
I am just waiting for the trigger wheel kit to arive from specialist components.
tomorrow i will try and mount the coil and edis unit and install the wiring loom so it is all ready for when the triger wheel arrives.
