I shall be entirely unhelpful and say there was a man at MITP who had it on his mini, was blue i think, and he was also as southern mini days (at the hop farm)! it does look nice and i'd imagine theres a fair amount of work (and burnt legs) involved!

Pics will be nice.

I had a side exit on my 97 Saturn SC2 a few years back. Now I often day dream about them on the mini.
I don't think clearance will be much trouble for a race car so i'm sure some one in the scene has done it without major mods.

Cheers

This is a friend's clubby estate with sidepipes. They're just universal pipes from USA attached to standard Mini engine. Sounds good too!

Hi

The car you are looking at used to be owned by me and I was the Creator of the side pipes :D

Its not something I would recommend to be on the car for everyday use unless you dont have many speed ramps local to you.

The car retained its original exhaust manifold etc and is very easy to create this look.

Remove your original exhaust and cut of the down pipe just after the first bend.

Weld on a Y peice or make a Y piece like I did.

Re fit the down pipe.

I bought a 2m (shortest length I could buy) length of 1 and a half inch flexible exhaust pipe.

The side pipes are PATRIOT pipes and are from Summit Racing USA.

The pipes simply bolt to the floor on mounts provided or in this case through the Sill.

I had to join the 1.5 inch flexi to a larger inlet on the side pipe but this was done by cutting and folding in sections before welding.

Nothing concourse but it was only done for fun and to show it could be done without cutting the floor or being impossible to drive out on the open road.

It would be very easy to make a nice job of it by buying exhaust bends that are available on ebay and buying exhaust reducers for the inlet size difference.

The blue clubman was a three week light resto that was done purely for fun, anything is possible if you put your mind to it and im sure you can do a much better and more permanent job than me given the time.

I never had any problems with the car on the open road but speed ramps were impossible lol

If you need any further help let me know
Thanks

As far as I know, garrett3 will prob correct me on this, the actual side pipes are baffles/the back box. They're not just empty tubing. It sounds good but it's not annoyingly loud if that's what you're worried about.

Yeah sorry missed that bit.
The side pipes have the baffles built in.
They can be removed easily if you want a very loud system but its a nice sound with them in.
I have the phone number of the companmy if you would like to contact them?
Cheers
