peek a boo

Posted Image

actually the minitec subframe is one hell of a piece of engineering, fantastic looking product.

Posted Image

also got one of these lil guys, as well as a proportioning valve which is not in the picture

Posted Image

and instead of filling the wapred doors in fear of the filler cracking, went about buying some new skins, and also visable are the rebuilt radius arms.

Posted Image

engine has been cleaned up with new belts, plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap, waterpump, and a few new gaskets. waiting on engine mounts and then i can slap it in

Posted Image

Posted Image

FINALLY went back to finish up the welding work i had to do, should have the sill on tonight

Posted Image

never had more fun in my life then doing this right here...

Posted Image

and the front panels + new hood all clamped together, once i get the engine in i can start checking my clearances and weld it up and fabricate some hinges. note the clever positioning of the minitec logo haha

Posted Image

yes i know, picture overload. but the front is on wheels and the rear is soon to be there as well. my dad went to to trouble of finding out all AN fitting sizes for the brake system, and once the back is together we should start running lines. get it fired up and then tear it back down a gain, get it painted, and BOOM. i can almost taste it. I decided that i want a more "sleeper" look, so there will be no badges or anything giving a hint as to what lurks beneath... besides the minitec logo, but nobody around here knows who they are.

i also seem to be in a bit of debt now. hahaha

Really does look awesome, never seems to be a rainy day there. I wish my garage was as big as that!

haha well my paren'ts aren't all that pleased with the fact that i consumed the entire garage, my dad wants to get the engine in so he can park his car in there. and it did rain recently, which is always fun because NOBODY around here knows how to drive in the rain, its like the speed limits drop 15 mph everywhere. i need to get used to it though, moving up to the rainy northwest in less then a year to attend college/university

finally got around to finishing that sill

Posted Image

the process of removing and repairing the crossmember, which the seat brackets were welded to at some point.

Posted Image

the trunk floor cut out to make room for all the batteries to power my hydro pumps so i can make it dance:

Posted Image

...or not.

Posted Image

how it should look:

Posted Image

my dad has been working hard to make the intake fit, about 4 inches of the runners have been cut out here... wonder what sort of power characteristics that will lead to

Posted Image

and then one final picture, the steering whell os so far over to the side. i am not exactly sure how the seats are going to line up, anybody else have a similar issue? perhaps with fitting corbeau forzas?

I drive round with the steering on the wrong side you get used to it. the seat dont line up you can move it a to the center dont help much. super job your doing.

Bungle-- they work great and only cost 99 cents a piece! hahaha

Rosslin Racing-- eh ok, still seems strange to me but i will play around with how to mount the seats since i am going to have to fab my own brackets anyways. and what kind of steering wheel is that? i bought the mountney adapter to a 6 bolt steering wheel but it is turning into a huge pain to get ahold of the wheel i want, and the wheel you have looks pretty nice.
