mine will have a purpose built chasis using standard front subframe and a beam axle at the back
of course A series would not be a mini if used any thing else
was hoping to make it as a kit if i got enough interest when its on the road
as it will use standard mini bits so you would only need a scrap mini for a donar

Flippin' awesome....
I'm with Jordie, spaceframe it underneath with a small (600cc'ish) bike engine, will go like stink, and with the majority of the weight being towards the back, should not have too much troube stopping it...
Yes the wheelie, may be a problem, so just add some skids to the back of the space frame..
Good on ya matey.... excellent project.

WICKED get a 1380 in there mate and there will be no stopping you
Dont give him idea's - he's bloomin' crazy enough as it is!!!!
Hey you old pirate, have I seen that fibreglass shortie at Town and Country in 2003 ???? :cheese: Not saying that you take ages over your projects or anything (and dont give that lame excuse of cutting your finger off either...)
About time that Neon of yours set sail on the waters isnt it!!!!

says the pot calling the kettle black
had other things to do but will be back on track with it once the neon is done
as for a bike engine if i want to go that fast i can just ride my bike
your missing the point of a shorty with big engines and bike engines
a 1000cc would have more than enough power as you dont want to do more than
about 70mph in it as is a short wheel base and untill i get the settings right don't
want to crash it
