Get a hair dryer on the stickers, and they will come of alot easier as it will soften up the glue. As for the badge, i think that if you take this off there will be three drilled behind them, so these would need to be welded shut.

Thanks for that. Is there anything special that needs doing to the paintwork underneath once they are off?

I dont know if you would be able to find this anywhere but my old local shop used to sell some stuff called "sticky stuff remover" lol although the name makes it sound rubbish it was actually really good and if there was and sticky bits left this stuff would take it straight off...
So it might be worth trying to find some of that...

Hot water straight out the kettle does a similar job as a hair dryer

I always give the car a nice warm soapy wash, hair dryer (keep away from water) and take time, dont want to lift any paint do we?
Halfords (etc etc) do AG Tar remover, which is good.
Whilst their get AG SRP and do the whole car so it all matches.
Once you have done the 2 bucket wash method of course.

Great.
i was going to use Meguires polish i suppose this will do the same job as AG SRP.
Only question remaining now is this... is it sacrilege to do this to one of the last 500 ever made? i.e. Should it be preserved in its original condition as it came off the production line?

Your car.
But i wouldnt, since if you want to sell later on in life, you would need to put em back on.
