sounds abit like a TT, terrible to reverse due to rear window and lousy mirrors.
my mozzie is low and suffers same problem with headlights.
but would a clubman front fit in the back?

Think the glass hatch is about 80cm wide

You can see car's pretty close behind you in both mirrors but no perspective for reversing.
Those new slopey back Smart cars look very close to MIdases for size - may be a bit to tall

in which case, you need either a hustler, or a jiffy pickup

jiffy pickup would be fantastic, but again, price.

Used to one called the Gecko that looked interesting in a basic moke kind of way.

if it was going to be a scamp type, then the AMC Moke would be much better.
however, needs to have a roof and able to carry some bits!
Surely you could make your own?

i could have a decent estate (vaux, vw etc) for the price of em.
doing the roof is not a problem, just get a pick up one and mod that to fit, extend the front so it goes over the screen and your away.
however, as i have said, for the price that it would all cost, thats decent diesel estates.
