My conversion will be going in to an 86 mini, will i need one of these vented plates?
You will definately need to add venting of some sort to the drivers side inner wing - you can do this in many ways, m vents may just make it a bit easier.
You have to do it as the radiator ends up on the opposite side of the engine bay.

the grill looks great ! car sems to be really coming together !!!
slowly but surely
glad I didnt rush it though - could have made a couple of big errors that have only come to light by taking time and thinking properly. And my buddy john telling how to do things properly !!

also the fuel filter and pressure regulator mounted onto the mesh on the inner wing. Mesh helps with air circulation, keeps filter cool and was easy to fit. A stainless steel panel will be added later.
you can also see how the angle on the tail of the exhaust manifold isn't quite right so we have had to make up a short section of pipe with an 11 degree bend in it.

John has also made good progress with the dash wiring and has indicators in place and the first guages hooked up.
I made myself useless by mainly putting graphics on tonight - and sorry pro-mo, the big sticker on the air filter had to go.
Still waiting for remainder of guages, gear position indicator, fuel return junction / pipe and a couple of other minor bits.
I'm still very, very excited

Aric
John and I put quite a few hours in tonight, and except for the top radiator hose, oil pressure sensor and a damned good clean - the noisy end of the car is pretty much finished.
