I like the last pic best the light grey one. :thumbs up: what are you using to make these pics? they look good.

rendered in studio max with a model I modified a few weeks ago.

You might be right - the silver is nice and clean, and would work well with the grey / carbon fibre interior I have in mind.

very dull update:

front subframe sourced for exchange and being dropped off on saturday
Blue colour scheme opted for with light pearl effect, black wheels and orange detailing with grey velour and carbon fibre interior. bonnet sprayed to check colour and looks nice - I'll post photos when the laquer is on.

R1 engine still not swapped but hoping to finalise next week

10 weeks for subframe / conversion kit to be finished.

carbon fibre door panels both made as well as rear shelf, under rear seat closure and centre console for lap-top.

more exciting stuff soon on R1...................


moorspeed 16 valve engine for cabriolet meant to be finished this saturday - not holding breath - The guys still seem extremely busy.

update - chosen the colour !! and done a test on a spare bonnet. only did about 10 mins polishing at this point and stopped for tea and fag.

respray starts in earnest next week.

countdown to R1 subframe now 9 weeks and counting.

i thought all the R1 engines were 20valve except the very latest ones wich have gone back to 16valve layout mines 20valve and its a 1999 4xv model wish mine made 175 bhp too lol

All this engine talk but I am still in the dark!
what engine numbers are the ones to use? I have seen 5pw mentioned, all I can find is RN01 being the oldest RN19 being the latest.
who know whats the score is?

Right done that, this is where I have the 5pw number.
I wonder if 5pw is the whole bike and the engines have another number system?

sorry, I have been very slack - too busy doing colour changes in digital mini for people and all that.

BUT LOOK WHAT WE PICKED UP TODAY!!!!

The boys at Pro-motive have done an awesome job, quality of finish is superb, and technically its a masterpiece.

Its so good we are putting it into the cabriolet, its the only car I have that'll do it justice. Its going to be fitted in the next week or so once we get the rest of the parts we need, and fingers crossed it may be at the next show at the end of the month.

I'm so excited I can barely stand still - wish us luck and see you at Bingley Hall!!

look at the other toy we found in the workshop - can you guess what we're gonna do next?
