hello everyone im also going to be doing a pro-motive conversion shortly and should be done by september and its going in my mk1 ,ive spoken to the boys at promotive and will be picking my subframe up shortly, im now looking for a 4xv engine on carbs but want to use the 1000 cc fazer engine as the torque characteristics are greater due to different cams in any case ill be along soon ,maybe some pro-motive club stand? at shows?

brilliant ! I've been watching a few engines of this spec on flea-bay and they go for great prices considering their potential.
good luck with it all, keep us posted and put plenty of pics up for us to see progress.

I guess the mark 1 subframe must be similar to the one thats being featured by monte busa out in the states ?

the pro-motive thing definately seems to be gathering speed and I'd love to have someone else with me at the shows to answer questions - I barely have time to have a beer !

You do realise I gave up and sold you your your engine so that I could do this conversion, if its faster I'm probably gonna sulk !

Hello all just a little picy! to show my progress (doesnt look much but by god its been hard work!)

just painting the rollcage & wheels up the shell on the right is the pro-mo no front end atm but when the fibre-glass comes this week im hoping to have the time to get it all fitted & primered!

oddly ive already fitted a later subframe when the shell was done so i dont need to run an early front sub,makes life easier!
