standard speaker fascia from maplins - £4.99. gives mounting points but allows air into the bay to help combat excessive heat - like on the bike. fits perfect to the hole rover kindly supplied. used rubberised P-clips to mount it.

the flip front will pay dividends - especially when you get to that 'tweaking' phase and you need access to everything. good on ya - stick some pics up when the times right

further to requests here are a few shots of the fuel rail.

looking from the front fuel enters on the lower right hand side, via high pressure filter, and then exits the fuel rail via modified bracketry to the pressure regulator, and then back to the tank.

hope this helps

M.

no I'm not one to boast as you know :D

found out why the torquer steer was so bad on that last stretch of open road - the steerinf raack was falling off :P vibration had made all four nuts wind out and it was pretty much on its last 2 winds of thread on the passenger side.

dont worry though - it was perfectly safe ;)

sorted now and handles like a touring car again :D

in the last week there was play in the steering wheel, you could turn it 7 - 10 degrees before anything actually happenend, when you accelerated hard what we thought was torque steer was all over the place and you really had to wrestle with the wheel to do anything properly.

On cornering it was as if there loads of understeer, you had to really yank the wheel for anything noticeable to happen.

All credit to John at Covics again, he didnt even look up from his clients car today, he just said check the four nuts on the u-clamps holding the rack in place, all the problems were in the rack moving about of its own accord, now that its bolted on properly the transformation is amazing.

nice simple fix for a change :D
