hahaha that would be fun and I reckon Darren would drive really well and probably embaress a few peeps out there knowing how well he can drive in general and deof around combe as ive done many a lap or two with him

Guys is there any regs you have to abide by at castle combe? ie do i have to has fia aproved stuff etc etc any info would be good

Just the ususal trackday regs, helmet, long sleeved clothing and full length trousers, care preparation standards is up to yourself, it your A**E riding in it at the end of the day.

do you think someone ought to ask daz and phil if they're interested before we get too carried away ?

or even ask the organisers if this sort of thing is allowed?

well im sure promotive will be there anyway or at least one of their kits will be in some shape or form as im sure a n r1 powered zcars mini will be there aswell, and were not organising a race as such anyway as that isnt allowed at a trackday but it will be clear to see any advantages of either cars when put side by side on a track.
We cant make a true comparison as the drivers ability and attitude will be different as would tyres and brakes etc.
Yes we are getting a little carried away to be honest but all good fun!!!

to be honest I quite like the fact that there is no daft competition / animosity between the 2 manufacturers, and I like the way that owners of Z's seem to take a solid interest in the pro-mo kits and rerspect them for what they are. I find the Z's very exciting but dont think I could live with one, and to be honest mine is more about show and shine rather than smoke and burn.

Also PLEASE tell me if anyone knows anyone with a set of coil overs! 2 rears would be fine but a full set i will buy! but if not looks like brand new ones & more funds are to get drawn out of the old savings pot!

you'll have to delete a few pics from your folders - or post the pics on an external site and link to them

Darren n Phil normally go to combe every year but yeh racing is nota good idea really as you are not really allowed to do this on track days,

Mini showdown wise im sure it normally clashes with some grastrack racing so I would say Darren will be there instead of sunny (me hopes) ol Stratford .........and just up the road from his house lol

400kg mark

sorry, i dont think it will happen. the don is about 450kg but thats with a titanium front sub frame and loads of other bits. and his radius arms are bolted directly to the healboard. i know 500 is certainly achiveable. but still thats only 2 and a half times what the bike was originally.

Sorry I don't know who or what the don is, I will aim for around the 400kg mark, if it ends up at 450, 475 then so be it

If you have a link to the don project I would be interested in looking at it
