John and I put quite a few hours in tonight, and except for the top radiator hose, oil pressure sensor and a damned good clean - the noisy end of the car is pretty much finished.
John has also made good progress with the dash wiring and has indicators in place and the first guages hooked up.
I made myself useless by mainly putting graphics on tonight - and sorry pro-mo, the big sticker on the air filter had to go.
Still waiting for remainder of guages, gear position indicator, fuel return junction / pipe and a couple of other minor bits.
I'm still very, very excited

"Gear selection in first gear is very clunky and harsh, we're hoping that its just down to clutch slave cylinder adjustment, and maybe gear selector cable adjustment."
One other thing if the idle is to high the gear selection can be very clunky

No problem roofless,
I'm looking in the Haynes manual, can't find an actual rpm quoted, it just says set the idle speed as low as it can go without it becoming uneven, what are you running at now?

You need an accurate reading from the rev counter I suppose, before you can check the idle speed properly, but getting it as low as possible will definately help.
Bikes are generally quite clunky into first, the yamaha being one of the worst, it doesn't help not having the rubber coupling in the car setup and also if the front subframe is solid mounted doesn't help either.
Good luck your nearly there, that's way better than me!

Roofless,
I am going to be doing a similar build with Pro-motive conversion in a Clubby Estate.
I was reading about your brake situation i.e. servo assist and the requirement for a vacuum.
Can you post pic of your new vac feed?
Was talking to a mad nut where I work on my off roader and he suggested using something like a Citroen power steering pump, as they are electronic…
Silly maybe but just a thought!
Loving your build mate! Very inspiring!
Regards
Andy
