I'll make a list of all costs soon.

update - having problems with tacho - got it working just fine by stripping and poking wires in where we thought they should go, then did wiring properly and now its not working :P

can anyone else suggest a way to get a digital tacho thats designed for a single coil vehicle to work off a multi-coil engine? we're getting a pulse from one coil, so at 1000rpm we get 250 showing on the tacho ( four coils you see ). WE had a suggestion of bridging the pulse wires on each of the coils but that was disasterous - everything trying to fire at the same time :ermm:

also having problems with clutch mechanism - brand new clutch slave cylinder self destructed spraying me with clutch fluid right in the kisser - going to need to talk to phil about this one, I juts doesnt seem to work too well.

and finally we're not having much luck with gear selection either - this just may be down to adjustment, and the fact we havn't got the clutch working properly.

After so much good progress it was a bit disheartening last night, everything just seemed to go wrong............... :crazy:

have you removed the arm on the spline of the bike clutch and moved it round a few notches i had the same problem when i was doing mine i couldnt get the slave to push enough but moved it round a new notches and hey presto it worked lol

NO!! - rushes into garage!!

nice one!! I'll give it a proper go later when I've got the new slave cylinder. :P

just a quick note as well as i've just fitted different seats to my car and i'm now further back you can do the same with the little rod that sits on the splined shaft for the gear shift as it was a bit of a reach to the shifter and i've just been fiddling about getting that to work again
