Right, I have a Rockworth Powertask air compressor (specs are - 1.5Hp, 6 ltr, 7 CFM and 4.5 free air delivery), I was also given some paint, hardener and lacquer with the car, but from here on in I have no clue as to where I start. I'm not sure even what type of paint I have? I think its 2pac?

The paint tin states that its from Tetrosyl, and says Polyester on it. It apparently contains Xylene and is a pearl paint.

The Standard hardener is 20:32 from U-POL and the lacquer/clear coat is 20:80 and also from U-POL? On the back of the lacquer one of the translations is clear coat 2k, which leads me to believe I'm dealing with 2pak?

Also to mention is that I'll be spraying this outside, hopefully this weekend whilst its nice and sunny/at least dry.

So can I spray this paint using the compressor I have? And which attachments will I need? Whats the correct procedure for prepping and spraying? The front end already has paint and lacquer, but the lacquer has peeled quite badly, hence the respray.

Jammy, you really could do with a bit bigger tank than 6ltr, it will be constantly running with a tank that small.
your also need a gun if you dont already have one.

as for the paint you have i havent really got a clue, but ive used tetrosyl before with no probs but that was celly paint.
dont take my word for it (someone with more knowledge will come along in a mo) but id of thought you will need to get the old lacquer off if it has started peeling, otherwise whats to stop it peeling after you have done the job.

as for doing it outside, can you not go and buy one of those cheap gazebo things and paint it in there, better that getting dust land on your wet paint.

if you want to borrow a bit bigger compressor and gun you can come and get mine, im near eastbourne though.

totaly illegal to spray 2k outside, also plan a couple of weeks of work coughing your guts up if you spray 2k without a airfed mask.

Good to see you've refrained from using paint brush and dulux tin.
