Hello everybody

I own a 05 Mini Cooper. Yesterday when I attached my sat nav in my car's cigarette lighter I noticed that lighter is no longer working. I am not sure when or how this happened. Is there a way I can fix this on my own, reading the posts here it seems it can be done. Is there a specific fuse that needs replacing if yes can anyone tell me how I can go about it.

Any help much appreciated.

the fuse box is in the passenger side footwell. you'll need to flip the cover off with a screwdriver. i think there is a little diagram showing what fuses go where on the back of the cover. i could change one with my eyes shut but i couldn't tell you which one it is... and it's been a few years since i was on the production line.

i may not actually be a fuse blown but even if it is, the ECU may have flagged a fault so it is always best just to take it back to the dealer, they should change the fuse and clear fault codes from the ecu.
