I was wondering where you can get this done ? and the pro's and con's of them im guessing waker leaking can be a problem and parking in carparks would be a job to get out the car lol ? but anything else.

would the hinge panel be strong/big enough to do the conversion?

If you've seen the bolt on kits for the likes of Civic's, you will see how big the mechanism is and how strong it has to be.

Take a look on www.autofashion.co.uk they have done the conversion but by the looks of it, the hinge goes through the hing panel and probably welded to the inner arch panel with alot of strenghthening added.

In my opinion, (for what's it's worth) i don't think it suits the car at all.

lol i see, ( i should really read the posts properly)

Erm, Gullwing, i would have thought the whole roof would have to be strengthened up from the inside due to the way the doors cut into the roof

yes i would have thought that something like a beam along the mddle of roof iv seen 1 in person but the full roof of the car was a plastic looking material and it cut all the way into roof leaving a t piece in the center and the gap around the new door had rubber all around dosen't look nice aposed to a normal roof but i just love the look of them open and would compliment a flip front great !

just wish i could remember where this mini i seen on the net was it looked like a professional job
