Ah that makes sense.

So I'm looking for a mini starter rather than a metro one - I'll have a search for part numbers or get my mate to help as he works in a motor factors.

You don't have a photo of the lower mount bracket you mentioned do you?

Why wouldn't it sit on he flywheel correctly? Your only rotating it in its originl location? :shifty:

Here's a pic of where you need to relieve the gear housing.

And here's the lower bracket.

You can see here how it virtually sits on top of the starter. Obviously its not a problem for you but this won't work with a dizzy in place. :)

ive got the carbon but not had anytime to get around to doing it.

you spent (lots of) money on that sexy titanium framed 16v engine. counts as work, as you have to work to earn money. So what i mean to say is, keep up the good work at work and don't get fired.

Made some prgress today but not really worth any photos

Striped out a lot of the engine bits and pieces today all thats left to drop the engine and subframe complete is the 2 main tower bolts and the track rod ends but ran out of daylight and my ball joint splitter is at my mates house - bugger!

Anyway Shouldn't take too long to sort the final few bits then offer up the new subframe

Wow cool project

just read this from the beginning as Im building up an 8v k100 head. just wondering where you got the pieces to weld into the first head. Were these from SC or did you make them yourself?

thanks rob

I made them myself but I believe that SC now include them in their kit - ring them and check, very helpful guys
