the test drive we went on did not include me giving the car full throttle, trying to scare Ian! or extending the rpm range past 7500 the car produces peak power at 8400 and will run hard to 9000rpm - all I can say is I hope your brakes are good and hold on tight when you do unleash it fully! - on the gearing Ian is going to run the car will be capable of 0-100mph (in 3rd gear) in under 14secs and run to a genuine top speed of 130mph (1st will give over 50mph, second over 80mph, third over 105mph!!)
if anyone wants a replica engine they know where to come!

Got engine/subframe home and basically split the engine and subframe and removed the exhaust manifold and throttle bodies. Even the cat was impressed lol

Not weighed it but the subframe even with all the arms and drive shafts is so light

and before anybody says I've split the pot joints wrong part of the deal with JohnK was that I posted the 'pot' part back to him as they have his traction control bits attached to them so they had to come apart anyway.
Going to be making a start on stripping out my engine next week but also start a new job on the 17th so may not be quick progress
cheers
Ian
