I'll see what I can do, but they go from each corner of the subframe back to one of the bolts holding either the speedo drive casing or transfer casing on

Were on it when I bought it just having to refit bits

New coolant outlet from the head made today to give a bit more room to the alternator, new lower alternator bracket made and also new top alternator mount.

Bracket to hold the coil pack also made and coil pack mounted

Going to mount the gearlever mech and final fitting exhaust manifold tomorrow all being well

Haven't managed to do a lot today garage is too damn cold! Last easter I was surfing in Newquay - this year freezing cold with 3 inches of snow!

Did pick up a complete mpi coolant system along with alternator, water pump pulley and crank pulley and all brackets yesterday. probably only going to use the rad and fan and some of the hoses (so if anybody wants an mpi alt or any of the brackets etc :) )

It looks like the rad will fit but will probably use the fan which came with the engine as it is sligthly smaller than the mpi one and so will fit without cutting any of the bodywork.

Todays progress, the rad fits but only just! going to have to relieve the back of the grill slats slightly but not a problem

My oil cooler thermostat also turned up on saturday morning just need to figure out what angled joints I need depending on where the oil cooler will fit

Its all coming together now mate! :D

Any chance you could take a photo looking down on the rad and starter so I can get an idea of where they sit in relation to each other? I didn't think I'd have room for a fan in front of my rad but your picture makes me think otherwise!

Good to see the engine is in the RIGHT colour! (choice of champions) lol :mrcool:

I'll sort a few pictures out for you Matty just give me a few days.

The fan fits but as I said the either the back of the grill needs relieving slightly on the slats or the grill needs to be spaced off the front by about 3-4mm

I'm going for adjusting the grill option.

I think if you had an MPI front panel with the proper cutouts etc for the rad and fan it would fit better but seeing as my subframe is differnet and the front panel is a mk3 (i think) ive had to make my own mounts up

Couple more pictures of the rad placement

Quite a bit more progress today, finally got the gear change mech fitted, extended the dipstick as the standard on is too short, fitted the brakes but still need to bleed them, got half the coolant system route planned out and a few other small bits and pieces like rad mounts

Progress has been made just been busy doing the work rather than updating this.

All the coolant system except for the header tank is now fitted, need to find a header tank as the one supplied (from a VW) doesn't want to fit in the space I have left? Thinking of getting a custom one made to fit into the weber box. Its just time as I really want it to be completed by next sunday (20th) :closed:

Also completed the wiring today, Ecu, fan controller, water pump and controller all fitted and wired. Ecu is sitting under the passenger side dash shelf.

Latest couple of pictures

Well that is the plan but I'm starting to think i'm not going to make it.

MOT is booked for 10am friday, if I make it, but also need to make it to a post office to get tax after MOT and get some insurance sorted before MOT.

Fitted the exhaust today.

Final jobs I still need to sort are the header tank and oil returns/catch tank.

Checked the electrics and all seems fine except no ignition light, need to check the alternator connects on the nippon denso alternator I have, might have a wire the wrong way round

Minor fuel leak when pump was switched on was sorted with a nip up of a fuel pipe clip

Bonnet also fitted today

Getting there slowly!
