its amazing how somethign so simple as a water outlet can look so sexy. Did her indoors realise all these extra costs on top of the initial purchase or is she none the wiser?
good work
I think you mean the oil return but thanks anyway, still need to make a water outlet as well but thats another matter to be sorted
On the money side of things it would be a shame to spoil it with bits that arent up to scratch and have been selling bits and pieces to raise extra funds plus big fat tax refund last month from 2004 and holiday pay from changing jobs just before christmas etc so not going to bad! I work hard for a good wage so why not enjoy it
and I'm sure she knows but has never actually asked

and on that note I just won an Elliott rev counter which goes upto 9000rpm

Wasn't this meant to be just a buy engine/subframe and fit job?!
Plan was always to tidy things up and repaint block and get the rad behind the grill etc but yes a bit more work than I first thought but I always like things to be "right" and not just throw it in
Yes miniboo going to be running a catch tank either the one that came with engine or I know a man who will make one for me which I thought about getting one made to fit into the weber box so it would be out the way

ooo thats interesting i wonder if i could do that with a normal 7.5 gallon tank?
No reason why not, I used a second retaining ring to weld some bolts into, pointing up, then welded that into the tank. You would just need to block up the original outlet and start without the original hole but not a major problem

also the engine steadies 3 of SC's rose jointed ones - one in place of standard top steady and two lower gearbox mounts
