Strange you should say that Ed as I had actually thought about "Special K - 98% BMW free" little sticker across the back window with the K like the Kelloggs K just as a laugh or maybe even just the "Special K" bit

Going to have a word with the chap off here who does the window stickers

Pictures for you, did a little bit more work today but not a lot as things didnt go to plan as normal lol

Engine out

Posted Image

So this lump along with subframe and arms etc etc is for sale

Posted Image

Subframe fitted on the tower mounts

Posted Image

One small problem/concern I've emailed JohnK about is the fitting of the additional bulkhead fittings of the subframe, being a mini all shells are a bit different but I'm fairly sure it will be a simple fix, just wanted to check before going ahead with it

Because the frame is tubular and doesnt have to hold the rubber cones in place there seems a lot more room for access and no silly little ledges for nuts and bolts to land on when dropped

Yes those but also the mounts which fit to the floor as they aren't in standard positions

I was thinking the same some alu plate of the right thickness as a packer

are the bank mounts against the floor at the moment? if theres place (where the floor strenghening still is) its probaby a case of drill away

No floor mounts arent sitting properly and need a spacer under each leg. Johnk just got back to me and said he had to space things out a little so going to soucre some alu plate after a bit of measuring and fabricate some spacer plates

At least the frame aint heavy to keep lifting it in and out.
