There was a Corgi Paul Smith Mini, but it was the multi-coloured striped variety as seen in the design museum.

I've heard that they have done (or are planning) a Paul Smith Blue version, but it might only be available in Japan.

The multi-coloured model was a LLedo model before corgi bought them out, it was a 1/43 model and there where two versions, one with a green front and on with an orange front.

Just got my Italian Job Rally one today in the post.. It actually got me thinking.. Is there a way of connecting it to the lights in my car?.. Like, when I switch the lights on in the real deal, the model ones come on also?

That would be pretty cool, especially at night with the model on the parcel shelf.. Anyone shed some light on how to go about this?

hi
I don't know what voltage the model operates on, but if you wired a 12v relay to operate with your lights and took one of the contacts to wire across the switch on the model it would work.
but I don't know how long the battery in the model would last.

The Chrome one is the one designed by David Bowie, trouble is though it shows up the smallest fingerprint.

If anyone is interested there is a model of the hot rod produced by minian on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.u...1QQcmdZViewItem

Well then my niece once owned a code 3 model then because the bloke who runs a large Mini model stand at the shows (Brian Marshall) sprayed a standard Mini up to Paul Smith spec for her and fitted her numberplate on to it too.

Well she did used to own a Mini Paul Smith, but sold it a few years ago and I don't know what became of that model.

Yes it happens quite a lot.

The paul smith mini that I have was a limited edition that I obtained through one of the mini magazines about 9 yrs ago it had jewelled spotlights, I also got a green cooper sport le and a model of that monster of a mini with orange bonnet stripes. JUST REMEBERED IT WAS CALLED THE MINI HOT ROD very fast and sounded like a big american job.

The best model I owned was one that my ex-wife bought me for a Christmas pressie!

It was the Steven King Mighty Mini racer. Was bought originally for £9.99 from her catalogue, with a certificate number 0008 of a limited run of 5600.

Little did I know that it could only be got from that catalogue.

Put it on eBay a couple of years back, and eventually went for £232.50!!!!!

Went a long way to helping purchase the first Jiffy Camper!! Know which one I'd rather have!!! >_<

Some cool looking Minis there! Lights are a bit of a gimmick, but in a good way!!

I've got about 40-odd model Minis of various types, but the one I've always been on the look out for is a clubman, but never seen one. Anyone else seen any around? I know they weren't the most popular shape with the general public, which explains why toy manufacturers haven't been keen to make them, but I'm sure someone somewhere must have made some at some point...

Dinky produced a diecast model of the clubman, if you search for mini clubman on ebay and select die cast toys there are some for sale.
