i managed to find a corgi model that looked likes the wife's new cooper (Alice) at the Birmingham MOC show on Sunday.

OK, so it's an RSP, but as the wife's car has the options pack it looks very close...

Hi
I collect corgi minis, the one you have shown is the latest one, I have not received my model yet so I have not seen the real thing.

If you are interested in Corgi mini have a look at miniminis http://www.miniminis.co.uk/

There are two others with working lights one of them is with italian job run decals

Yes I want one too and it might be a Mainstream with the "Flares, Kinky Boots and Flower Power" Rover accessories fitted.

Where did you get those from Verns_PlayMate? That's one set I don't have and I'm keeping my eyes peeled on e-Bay for it.

i used to have loads of the corgi mini, including the 3 packs, but not those ones.
i had the Italian job minis and a set with an open classic in amongst others.

sold them at a car boot sale about 8 years ago :)

I'm not really a collector just like the fact that this one was close to our new car, and no taffy, I'm afraid it is an RSP as it says so on the box but we can dream

it even has the red steering wheel.

i think there used to be a red mini cooper without bonnet stripes but the one i saw at the show had a black grille, i suppose i could add a bit of silver paint >_<

Yes around 1992/93 Corgi released 2 Rover Mini Cooper models and they were available in either Flame Red or British Racing Green and the box clearly shows a picture of a Mainstream (no stripes or spotlamps) Cooper on the lid.

I've got the Flame Red version but some models came with bonnet stripes and some didn't (depending on where they were made i.e here or abroad, or that's what I've been told at least).

I can't remember if mine has the stripes because it's been carefully boxed up for years.
