Hey folks,

Some "dobber" at my work ran into the back of my Cooper Sport :w00t:

I've had to get another sportpack arch and now I need to paint it.

I've had a look on the cracking paint guide but can't find my paint code

WNS

Any ideas?

Cheers

Oz

Ma mini is BRG, but there seems to be about 3 different shades. Not sure which one to get.

The code from the VIN plate is WNS.

What year is your mini...?

As you say, there are 3 different shades of BRG, but they were only used from new between certain years;

British Racing Green - HAF (BLVC617)
Years: 96-99

British Racing Green 2 MET - HAM (BLVC1216)
Years: 95-99

British Racing Green 3 Mica - HFF (BLVC1279)
Years: 99-02

The older paint codes for green generally started with GN and all the later ones are H**.... so WNS is not the paint code, I can't even find any paint code for a mini which starts WNS, so it doesn't look like it's been resprayed either!

Drive round to a motor factors that does paint - they'll match it better than you can from the code 'n make you up an arsole (is that the right spelling  ?) if you're doing it yourself.

hehehe.... I hope not!!!

An aerosol probably is the best idea for a small job like a wheel arch, they'd also be able to find the right code for you in their book anyway, so wouldn't try matching the paint to a metallic which can be a nightmare! Expect to pay them around £20 for one can in a specially mixed colour though....

Nice one.

Emily (Ma Mini) is a late Sportspack so I reckon the HFF is the one to go for.

But to be safe I'll nip round to a paint shop and see what's what.

Thanx peeps

My Mini also has this WNS code as the paint on the VIN plate. I guess it probably means a combination of the Green and Silver, but doesn't help as nobody seems to recognise WNS as a code.
So it seems HFF is the likely green code (my car is a Sport 500, so a 2000 built car) - Halfords don't sell HFF as far as I can tell.
What is the code for the Silver used on the late Cooper sports ? Anyone any idea?
Someone who used to work for Rover must have made these WNS and other codes up for some reason? I've seen posts for a Tahiti Blue late sport which had another code starting with a W, so I guess they mean something to someone!
