Hey youngun,
A working mini for very cheap eh........I think thats a dream we all have. Just gotta keep your ears and eyes open and spread the word that you're looking which I guess you is doing already!
Either that or chat up a really ancient mini driver and have them put the car in their will...... OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
(but look out for the stained seats.... )
heh heh heh
Welcome aboard!!

an old person who has had it since new? well, it only has to start and drive for now, as no MOT is needed because i am too young to drive (doesnt stop me from doing so though)
The thing is, i see alot of minis for sale, yet never had enough money, the guy sells them quite regularly so if i "get in" with him, you think he will give me discount ?

well i'd love to do all the work! (if i had the tools, but thats what m8s r for  ) i have high hopes for my mini, the amount of planning i have done is immense ! lol including: deseaming, roof chop, custom bodykit (one off) 18" wheels, sum form of fast engine ( preferably straight 6 ) stiff suspension, forget front and rear subframes, i will make my own lightweight but strong under chassis - and for the interior - too long to list......
all this in three years haha i will need to spend alot of time and money
wish me luck

what will be the main expense of the project? will it be time or money? or the ICE?
because i will go to breakers to get cheap donor engines out of other cars etc
i know what most of you are going to say.. "its not going to end up being a mini with all the modifications" but all the modifications are going to be in good taste ! not like the boi racers, who stik on 2 stripes and some neons and a rasping exhaust and let rip on macdonalds car parks
