The stock inlet should work in a clubby, which makes things easier.

shove in a full length webber box for more room at the back. or even just a trubo box depending on what you could get away with. dont think that there would be much need for extra height would there?

oh unless you cant root charge piping around and have to go over. raise the bonnet though i guess.

theres that much room at the back i doubt you'd need a full length weber box, let alone a normal one,
plus there is plenty of room around the engine for routing of pipes
Just have to see what its like once one is fully built up.

ooo, it looks really quite close in the pictures. this could well be my new project route if all goes well  how long do you think your looking at before you can sell the parts needed as a kit? i know its hard to say but a rough time / planned deadline?

Well once i know that i can get the crank ends made then everything else should be quite quick as its only based on me making it/modding it.
So it could be something like a couple of months provided i can get everything i need for it. The things that will slow it down is anything i have to get someone else to do.

Yes last ones gone as i tried new things but then relised i was stupid so now i want a mini again, but basically i couldn't afford to finish it so a friend of a friend had it. His circumstances are much the same as mine were and he's put it on ebay. But now im looking for a new car, a solid but standard car that looks ultra original with graphics etc, then want to put a stonking engine in was thinking 1100 Turbo but your swift idea is perfect, how much effort do you think is involved in making a 150bhp monster with your new idea? Would be perfect in a bog standard looking Mayfair or something lol!

Is that 150hp at the wheels or the flywheel?
Wheels i would say simplest way would be a low boost turbo,
otherwise N/A would need ITBs, cams, head work, even raise the compression, plus possibly other stuff.
Dont forget though that you will need to uprate the gearbox as well, all comes down to budget!!

Yeah i was thinking of turbo route and it was at the wheels lol, ill have a decent budget not huge but certainly not small, all a case of doing it over a time period and Gearbox wise ill have a few words with Guessworks when it comes to it cause i don't really want an exploding diff for example. I would be interested to see what sort of headwork and cam changes you can do on the swift engines and the performance gains. I must admit im usually an out and out A series fan, but this Swift on Mini gearbox conversion is pretty interesting, especially when it'll require no/minimal bodywork modification.

I guess once i have got to the point of having a complete engine in the front of a car i can look at making a turbo manifold (on top of all the other stuff Posted Image :- ) .

what about a supercharger! without the carb at the back of the engine bay, its ideal and lots less work for the exhaust manifold! and the cam belt is at the right end for a cooper charger!

Thats also possible, but i dont have a supercharger at the mo to do one (were as i do have a turbo).
Although it would probably be a nice thing to do :- Posted Image
