Also I am half tempted to pull my fuel tank out and try sitting everything in to see how it will look!!! also to see what clearances there will be.

Guy doing the crank end popped round today (very nice chap indeed)!
Gave my a drawing of the end
He has been talking to two engineers today about having them made,
and they said once you add the price of hardening (nitrided) and the machining etc it came in at about £210 - £220 (its probably going to be EN40 steel),
so he is going to a gear company tomorrow and will see if they can do it (aiming for less than 200 for the crank end)

Have also been looking into the other bits (oil pickup etc, i know they will work)
Im just trying to do them with minimal mods and keeping original parts, but we'll have to see when i come to make them.

The engine will basically be up to where the rad cowl currently meets the rad.
Was going to see how easy it would be to use a front rad or even the swift rad (not much bigger than the mini one and also alloy) but we'll see when i get an engine into an engine bay.

It does normally go off the front, but as the engine is flipped 180 to sit on the box it then sticks off the back!!
i assume the engine runs the right way, as youv'e turned it 180 from how it normally runs, or are you going for the 1gear forward, and 4 reverse.
looks interesting

I was wandering this as reading through aswell. would you need to run an etra gear inbetween something to reverse the drive back? if you see what i mean?
This looks like a great idea though and would be interested when you get it sorted depending on the cost etc......

Obviously the more stock things I use the cheaper it will be.
But also dont forget it wont be everything that is required,
you would also require an injection tank or a modified mini tank and external pump, plus extra fuel lines (8mm).
(That will also depend on what fuel system you run).
