Maybe have a true beam axle at the back, add a sprocket to that and the reverse motor?

1 question does it differ to a normal mini in the sence of daily driverness i mean fair enough its alot revier but mpg? can it pull 4 grown men round town ?

cheers scotty

i would think it will pull them but bike engines are more for lightweight not passengers in my view! and mpg!! hmm, expect bad numbers but more fun before fill ups :withstupid:

I love these age old misconceptions! How much torque do you get from a fairly decent a-series? 70lbft 80? Standard 03 R1 will me mid 80/90lbft hyabusa's up to about 120-130lbft. Combined with lower gearing plenty to pull your grown men wherever you want them ;) ;)

oh come on how light is a mini and with a R1 it will be even lighter. A fart could push it out of a parking space.

anyway, its a luxuary item, i ver much doubt a person will have these will not have a second car to be honest.

If a big engined mini can pull Ade around then you know it has sufficient torque!! :withstupid:

;) for anyone who's met Chris from z-cars mine has taken both of our weight and still managed to scare me!!

And a reverse is nice for normal cars but i can't say i've really missed a proper reverse on mine. Electric one helps for emergencies but generally i just push it about..... :withstupid:

yeah but some peoples drives are on a hill and i had trouble push an empty shell on my own :withstupid:

and what if you have a really narrow garage! yikes..

as much as i'd love an R1 or bike engined mini, it would need reverse!
