I was thinking more on the lines of weight distribution. Engine in front and rear wheel drive, Its not like your sitting on top of the rear wheels like a caterham or locost.

I would really like to see/hear how it handles.

 As for reverse on the front wheel drive one, I would think a starter ring gear and starter motor on one of the rear drums wouldn't be difficult. One wheel drive.

Darrens original yellow car has about 20mm clearance(without measuring it) from the air filter to the standard bonnet. If you were to use a TTS compact foam filter you could have around 50mm clearance. As for the rad if the minus uses a standard rad then it will be no problem as it is only moved side to side.

can you guys check your emails please the more i read the i went

simple just turn the engine round 90 degrees and run a propshaft off a flange where the front sprocket would go. as done on westfields etc.

Thats how my van is done (see pic) still not finished started it over 5 years ago but keep finding others to build. watch this space hoping for coombe 08!

hope this helps. Darren

Hi Darren and Philip,

Sent you an e-mail some time ago confirming my kit spec and haven't seen a response yet, although Lee says he hear's you got the message...lol

Anyway, I have my eye on a few R1 engines locally and was wondering if you could let me know what year range will mate with your kit.

Cheers,

Aric
