Im now itching to get mine together after seeing that Ha ha, i can hang on in each gear right up to the red line, that will be fun I might never get to fourth

If you had only started selling these kits a little bit earlier

thanks folks - no kidding the car drives like the curve looks - awesome!

Colin - you'll be amazed when you get yours together - they are such sweet little motors,docile and easy going round town and when you want to just drive sedately (I do this most of the time!), torque steer here we go when you plant it at 3K, it pulls way above its capacity in any gear!

The gold one is a bit of a beastie in comparison - it is running a fully ported cylinder head - my own spec camshafts, 11.8:1 compression - my own design and built exhaust manifold, SC ecu etc - when it went on the rollers in June last year it spat out 163 BHP at 8200rpm - 130 odd bhp at the wheels, 117 lb/ft torque at 6200 rpm - but more importantly it had 100lb/ft plus from 3800 - through 8500 rpm. I rev it to 8700 but much like the clubby you can see the power curves don't drop like a stone once they've peaked - its the same with the tuned 16v it just wants to keep going.

Next month the gold one is going back on the dyno with larger bore (K1200RS) throttle bodies to try for a little more oomph! - you can never have too much power in a 480kg road legal mini geared to do 115mph at 8700rpm!
