Borrow my hoist - I only live in Addlestone down the road. When do you want it and how long do you need it for?

I need it fairly soon so borrow it once for taking it out and again for putting it back in. - Buy me a beer or something

There you go, top man!

It's sooo much easier with a hoist. The last two that I have done have been a subframe off job anyway, so I just dropped the whole lot, but if I need to change it again I'll borrow the hoist from work.

hire a hoist.....

*Picture of toe*

I did this last year dropping a concrete block on my foot. toe bones cam out the underside of my toe and trough the nail.

the nail had to be removed so that the bones could be poked back in place and the nail was then put back in place and stitched to the flaps of skin on the sides... i had a bacterial infection and a reation to the anti biotics... i haven't worked since.

Man, i hate to laugh. But i did the EXACT same thing moving an engine, with the exact same results!

Then i did the same thing 1 year later to the other foot :)

So yes, saftey first.

get a "body hoist"

they're meant for lifting grannies out of their beds/baths, and they're only about £50

Best bit is, they've got a "safe limit" of about 140kg, which means it'll happily lift a fully-built engine +subframe +suspension +brakes +wheels!
