GEARBOX IS WORKING AGAIN!!!

I was driving it to work expecting just to have third and fourth, but I changed down by habit and thought " Hang on! I'm not meant to be able to do that!" seems a gear selector was stuck up and free'd itself. I think that makes sense...

Anyway, with that all sorted, I can get on with the body again. Got to find a mk1 bootlid or Mk 1 outer skin at least, and waiting on a cool item from smudger

Keep em peeled!

you can buy mk1 bootlids brand new now, heritage starting making them using the original tooling!

Got it in the garage 5:30 am Saturday morning, got it stripped, prepped and finished painting it at 12 midnight!
Came in 7:00 am Sunday, got it polished and built up by 9:00 pm! For two days I lived on bourbon biscuits, water and paint fumes..

But hey, it's done now (the bodywork at least) and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm a bit annoyed because the guy who put the tyres on the wheels put the weights on the outside..

In the end, it cost me £60 including materials and use of premises! Not half bad methinks! It's Flame Red, I used mega cheap commercial vehicle paint, which was actually suprisingly good, and called in a few favours!
Anyways, I hope you like.
