To go with Honda engine and the yellow paint, get some "jordan" stickers as in the ones on the jordan civics. Put them just before the rear arch.

awesome project i really like it!
thought i might do something similar with my boot floor, is it fairly strong?
Seeing as I've got the mk2 version of steves boot, I can answer that!
it's very strong indeed, it seems to take the weight of steves 12 gallon tank perfectly well, and it's seam welded into the original shell.
Steves floor was done by Mintec Mini Spares of Newton Abbot, his was the first done by them, and mine was the second. If you look in the back of miniworld, Mintec have an add in the traders section.
Here's my boot floor when it was first finished:

Here it is with the tank in place:

There's still loads of clearence under the floor for the exhaust, the level basicly follows out from the base of the seat squab.
Steves project is awesome, when we took it to combe back in september it got SO much attention, I cant wait to see it finished and back on the road again!

1. Rear wheels scrub back of arches on hard cornering (i was told they were smoking)
2. My brakes were RUBBISH, i think this was because i was using the wrong size master!
3. Rear Hudersfield beam isnt very good so many points are wrong with it, so that needs replacing with another beam that has caster and camber settings!
4. Understeer - realy need some adjustable lower arms!
I now have a fiberglass Curley Switch Pod dash, so i had the original rails put back in

Decided to have the bulk head box reduced to give me more room behind the dash and to allow for demister vents

Front coilover shock mounts beefed up!

Front end modified to cover the subframe properly!

Rear Arch mods!

Engine back in so radiator and servo can be tweeked a bit!
Radiator mounted about 1" lower than before, not sure yet, but it mite just sit under the slam panel now

Standard servo master cylinder and dizzy dont like each other much, so have seperated them a bit so ther is good clearance, its a working progress still tho!

Choped the parcel shelf out, will be replaced with a bolt in sheet of ally or Carbon Fiber just to save a bit of weight also means i can mount speakers to a MDF board much easyer if neeeded!

And this is the rear lower engine steady bracket, its actually tacked on now!

New engine mounts (85a Grade Inovative Mounts) should stop all that engine movement!

Watsons Beam fitted, this is 100% adjsutable ( track, castor, camber, toe in,toe out)
no pics of the beam its self

n/s shows crazy camber and o/s showing normal ish!

last but not least!

Im having my boot floor re-worked as i have a new Custom 7.5ltr tank, similar shape to prawns, but the boot floor will house the tank and also alow for more room for the back box, that will be the next update, hopfully within the next few weeks!
Cheers

7.5 gallons dear boy! 7.5 litres would give you a range of about 50 miles!
my tank is 6.9 gallons, and hides entirely below the line of the boot lid.
Car's looking awesome those steve! let's hope you can mount the arches a bit lower on the shell this time so they don't make it look so high!
Cant wait to see it when I get home
