I then removed the engine etc

Then set to work with the front and arches that arrived!

That kinda brings me up to 2 days ago!

Fueling is 90% done jsut got to link it all up to another filter then to the engine and back! Braided fuel hose is a nightmare, cutting it is so difficult!
I ended up wrapping it in electic tape then a thin cutting disk to cut through then clean up the braided edges with scissors and flush the pipe with watter to make sure no rubbish got inside when cutting!
But the end result is lovelly

Gear linkage shortend and welded just needs a bit of paint!

Exhaust manifold fits brilliantly now, lots of clearance at the front, needs a fraction ground off the flange at the rear but thats a easy fix

I ahd to order a aftermarket ilet manifold as the stock B18c4 wouldnt fit!
So the inlet manifold finally turnd up after 2 months of waiting! aparently its the revised inlet with a incress of 20bhp instead of the original being 10bhp!

as she stands for the moment

Things to be done this week!
1. oder exhaust parts!
2. order clutch master (14mm)
3 brake master but im unsure what one to use with my kad calipers??
4. sort dash!

So do my eyes deceive me, or is that fuel tank as installed nto the same one as you pictured previously on page 3? Looks way taller and bigger capacity or is is it an optical illusion?.....
Cheers,
Aric

Ok doke folks, bit of a update for you! no pics im sorry!
With some carfull thoguht and deliberation i have come to this conclusion........
Im going to go for a clubman front, this will give me more room in the engine bay for rad and manifold!
A standard round nose conversion is to much MONEY!
Steve
first up awsome looking project...
my question is are you changeing to clubman front because u are going for a b18 engine now?
i.e. you need more room for the b18
or is even the b16 a real squeeze into a standard fibreglass roundnose??
cheers mate and good luck

I think he said he was going for a clubman front so he didn't have to fork out for a hugely expensive twisted rad, and so there's a bit more room to be able to fit the exhaust mani in. You are partially right about the room issue though, as the b18 has a deck height 8mm larger than that of the b16, mainly due to the longer stroke (87.2mm vs. 77mm). The clubman bonnet doesn't slope down as much, so there is less chance of the underside of the bonnet hitting the top of the rocker cover
