it should be on the vin plate, the 3 letter code.

heya dude my mini is rover steel grey its a 89 mini so falls into the category
for the steel grey so feel free to use a pic of my mini in my about me section,
doing work on it atm and hopefully if the weather stays good in the next 3 weeks
or so she should be looking how she did when she first came out the
show room,
sorting out all the rust patches and that so she'll be protected for the winter.
so if i get some pics then you can take them for ur colour chart thing if you like.

heres an "Antelope Beige" Mini,Its my 1969 mini clubman.....
heres two pics,one how it was acouple of weeks ago and the other how it is now Sat in "MiniMine" just been restored....Its now a Dent free,rot free Antelope Beige clubman once more.

Just to help with your paint records, I've been looking at some of the paints and codes and you have some colours dated to 59 that weren't available.

From launch in 1959 till late 61 there were 6 colours available.

On Austin's,

Speedwell Blue, Farina Gray and Tartan Red (known as Tartan 1 as there was a slightly different Tartan introduced in 61 known as Tartan 2)

On Morris's,

Cherry Red, Clipper Blue and Old English White.

These were the only colours available from launch and were all superseded in 61.

Hope it helps a little.

i know there is a very similar colour on the chart called applejack, but im not sure that is a perfect match, i was goin to spray my mini the same colour as mr beans but im not exactly sure what the name is, i have seen applejack and inca yellow but does anyone know the actual name for the paint on mr beans mini?
