I don't suppose you have any other old pictures (other than the one first posted here) of your clubby before she had this Vaxhaull mod. I've got a project 79' red clubman with a 1275 transplant with 'mostly' the same exterior trim - it'd be nice to see some baseline pictures as I slowly give mine a facelift.

Cheers.

Hmmm, yes I have, but they really are old! Here's how it looked when I first got it on the road, July 2003, with me looking happy as it had just passed the MOT, first time! Not bad for £230 and a bit of welding ;)

Then I got some chrome trim and white Wella's:

Then did the first of many engine rebuilds, mmmm red:

Posted Image

Then fitted the 7.5" Cooper S brakes, Group 2's and bought the same wheels its got now, they went well with the colour but cost more than the car!!:

Then my mate took my favourite photo ever of the car (bit small though!)

Posted Image

Then somone emailed me a pic of it at the Vineyards show, September 2004 just before I took it off the road for the 1293 conversion:

I've got a few other pics but they're all samey samey really. Hope that helps!!

;) I know, the only reason I didn't go bronze last time was because when we sprayed it ourselves we hadn't the skill to paint metallic....

But don't worry, in a couple of years time I'm going to rip it all apart again and its going to have a tidy-up on the bodywork, and then a complete bareshell respray in its original bronze, inside and out, underneath and in the engine bay, to bring it back to completely original.

Although at the moment finding a house is a priority. I don't think I'll ever have another Mini, as I'm getting more into the VW scene now, but I will never sell this car!

Cheers Tom, I'm still in Derbyshire near Ripley yeah! I know there's a couple in Looms, have you seen the 1100/1300 with the immaculate 1275 Auto lump sat on the passenger side?? Seems a right shame that...

I don't know of any others but if I see any I'll let you know!!
