Looking good tom, do not throw the f-13!! I want to see how i get along with the 15, may go to 13 as i'm not planning great motorway mileage, more track day and street use than anything.

Matt - the manifolds look good, may look into once i have all the more important bits paid for. Keep us informed!

Well everything is looking good for BH2N, so far!

I've been quite busy buying stuff, got pretty much everything either ordered or ready to fit now. Today my Dad came round and we cut the holes in the shell necessary for the gear linkage, modified the handbrake bracket and fitted the gear selector box to the car.

I picked up the completed subframe from Allspeed yesterday, and the engine is almost rebuilt after its minor overhaul (new water pump, timing belt, head gasket/bolts etc).

Still a bit more to do to the F15 gearbox, got to swap over the various bits and bobs, new clutch arm and release bearing, then that can go back together with the engine. The subframe is ready to fit, just need to cut the inner wings for the brace bars, then it can go into place.

I've rebuilt my hubs (shimmed up the ball joints and regreased the wheel bearings), so they're ready to go back on. I've tidied up all the wiring with convoluted tubing too.

The next job really is to get the engine and subframe in the car and start getting things in place. Hopefully it should all slot together nicely once that jobs done.

I'll get some pics up soon, Photobucket is down for maintenance at the moment.

Can't wait to get it back together!!

Done a bit more recently, got my parcel shelf modified to accept the rear speakers, and got them in and sorted (yes I know they should be at either end of the shelf but for various reasons I can't do that):

Got all the bits we fitted last week painted and sorted:

Then this morning before I went to work I modified the inner wings to clear the subframe (also allows a bit more access to work on the engine):

Then I worked 9 till 5 and fitted the subframe tonight:

All on target so far, I hope!!

lol, yes the gear changer will be covered up! I'm going to make some sort of small centre console if I can, to cover up the gearchanger and generally make things a bit tidier in the middle.

Engine in by next weekend then Tom?! Be running in a couple of weeks :(.

Looking like good progress, i havent touched mine for a while but i will get on with it! The gearchanger can go as far forward/backwards on the tunnel as you want cant it? As the rod has to be cut and modified anyway.

Yeah I reckon a couple of weeks and it'll be running. Just in the middle of doing the brake pipes and fuel lines today. Then its just a case of rebuilding the engine and fitting it, then sorting out all the wiring and plumbing - should all come together reasonably quickly though I reckon.

Yes the changer can be positioned where you want it, however if you want it in the ideal position (ie just in front of the cross member) then the handbrake will need to be moved. I made a new bracket that moves the handbrake back about 4 inches. Now the gear lever is roughly where the KAD Quickshift was before, allowing me to have my seat right the way back in its sliders, so my legs are all but straight when I'm sat down...comfy! :(

Where did you buy he seam cover strip that you have used on your parcel shelf/rear seat back seam? I got a strip of it for my sill seams from minispares but its a bit expensive from them and i need more to tidy up bits and pieces.

I got mine from Huddersfield, but I've got about 6foot of it left over, if you need any give me a shout.

Have made a bit more progress, got the brake pipes fitted:

Then front hubs, flexi hoses etc:

Then tonight I whipped the rear subframe off and gave the underneath another coat of paint (no rust, just for preventative reasons), sorry about the C**p pic:

And I picked up the Allspeed reverse inlet manifold yesterday:

Also, my Telemetrix gauges arrived today. They look soooo nice! I need to figure out how to mount the pick-up sensor to the rear backplate, and where to fix the magnet on the drum, but shouldn't be too tricky.

Still loads to do!
