I've just realised, its not quite finished yet, got the twins and filter kit to go on yet, and be rolling roaded! Hopefully thats happening in the next few weeks. Today I got round to washing and polishing the car, doing the tappets after the engine rebuild, fitting the door pockets which fell off last year due to dodgy screwmanship (my fault!), and some other stuff. Took the opportunity to get a few pics too, nothing exciting, just some pics:

The A032R's have worn visibly already, they've only done about 400 miles :trooper:

Think thats it for a while now, off to Riv Run this weekend, if you see me, wave! ;)

Ooh, no I hadn't seen that either! Nice to know mine was the second most powerful N/A car there - the first being a MSPD 1430, which was Jay's - just above mine :trooper:

Rolling road is booked with ACDodd at 0900 on the 10th May - which is just after Himley Hall, but never mind! Here's the little beauty's with their filter kit and stub stacks, just need to get the linkages together and its all good ;)

what a day :(

Rob3 and I spent 6 hours fighting with the carbs, filters, linkages etc, but they're all on and working lovely. Took a little while to get them balanced and get the mixture something like right, but it seems to be running well. I've got some AAA needles and red springs coming from Burlen tomorrow, which is what AC recommends to try initially. Then I'll drive it down to kent gently on tuesday evening and it'll all be ready to set up on wednesday, can't wait  Here's some piccies of them all together:

excellent stuff.

Barney has just bought the same carb and filter set up for his 1380, the filter kit looks like the dogs danglies! :(

I am thinking of getting the MED filter kit for my Weber too after seeing the quality of those ones!

this car is the dogs danglies! im thinking of getting a similar engine for my van from morspeed. is there anything you would have done differently on it with the benefit of hindsight? or is it just as stonking as it looks?

erm, I think I may have flipfronted it, but kept the steel front, if I had the opportunity again. But apart from that its exactly as I want it, I spent a while deciding what spec to go for, then did it, so its pretty much how I want it to be now!

well i think i might come down dragwars and run in it just for a bit of comparison (like how much faster the vtec minis are lol)

You should bring it along to MFN again sometime now its back open!

you had any timing done on it yet like a true 0-60 or 1/4 mile?

Well I'll be at Oakerthorpe in it on thursday if you ever go there? Might be tempted to come to MFN this sunday too if you're going (and I'll get a few other Mini's too if I can), although I don't like parking it in the main car park, too many people around!

No 0-60 times or quarter miles on it yet, I'll be doing some timing though after tomorrow, once the carbs are set-up etc. I reckon something in the region of 7 seconds to 60 maybe a bit more, and around a 16second quarter mile, but we'll see!
